This is the headstone of Mariah Mowers Cook, wife of Adam Henry Cook.

Her children were George Cook, Garret Henry Cook, Benjamin Nelson Cook,

Cathrine Cook, Margaret Cook,

and Jacob Mowers Cook {Jacob is Walter Ross Cook's Father}.

Mariah was born about 1835 and died September 23, 1870.

She was laid to rest in the Potomac Cemetery in Vermilion County, Illinois.
